[ How to use ]

From input to output, in seconds.

No tutorials, no sign-up, no waiting list. The whole tool fits on this page.

  1. 01

    Pick a source

Type a letter or emoji, or upload your logo image. Square, high-contrast images convert best at small sizes.

  2. 02

    Style it

Choose a background and foreground colour, plus the icon shape (rounded, square or circle). Every preview updates live.

  3. 03

    Download every size

Click Download under each preview to grab that PNG. All 10 sizes (16 to 512) are generated locally — your image never leaves the device.

  4. 04

    Paste the snippet

Copy the HTML snippet and paste it into your <head>. The snippet includes manifest.webmanifest contents for PWA support.

[ FAQ ]

Questions, answered.

+ Which favicon sizes do I actually need?

For most sites, 32×32 (browser tab) and 180×180 (Apple touch icon) are mandatory. The 192/512 sizes are required for PWA install. We generate all 10 standard sizes so every platform is covered.

+ Can I use an SVG favicon?

Yes — modern browsers support <link rel="icon" type="image/svg+xml">. However, for best compatibility with Apple devices and PWA manifests, you still need PNG fallbacks at the standard sizes, which this tool generates.

+ Does my image leave my browser?

No. The favicon is generated entirely client-side using HTML5 Canvas. Your image and your design choices never touch our server.

+ Is this tool really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no email gate, no Pro tier. Generate as many favicons as you need.

+ Why are there so many sizes?

Different platforms request different sizes: Chrome wants 32, Safari wants 180, Android Chrome wants 192, Windows tile wants 256, PWA install wants 512. Providing all of them prevents browsers from up-scaling and producing blurry icons.

+ Can I use emoji as a favicon?

Yes — and it looks great. Type the emoji directly into the letter field. Modern OS-level emoji fonts render at high resolution, so the result is crisp at every size.
